The party has been so disappointing. All they seem to be able to do is to constantly send out donation requests. But when a Democrat like Cory Booker actually stands up and criticizes trump it gives me hope for the future. He shared so many personal stories and hopefully he reached people. It’s a lesson we all (filmmakers, writers, other creatives) need to remember.

Thank you for this article Tiffany. Reading it after the win in Wisconsin and Booker's day long protest speech, I'm about ready to run for some sort of office, lol. Great job.

One of the qualities that I love about Joe Biden is his ease with connecting with people when they are hurting and in pain. He has suffered grief and loss, and that has made him able to empathize with people at the deepest levels and which transcends political ideology.

The soul searching of the Dem Party isnt just an exercise in humility. It‘s more than that.

„To love a friend is to love your very self.“

When the party says it is the party of **all** Americans, what does that mean?

To me, it means that it also includes the disaffected and the disenfranchised, which is where I believe that a lot of our brothers and sisters across the aisle really are.

They have allowed themselves to be ensnared by the great lie.

It is our duty as a party both to provide a remedy and a cure. The remedy is to try and free them from that snare. The cure is so that when they see that trap, they will be better at avoiding it.

THAT is the moral choice before us. If we abandon them, we will continue to reap the consequences for our failure to care for them.
