I said the same thing. All of the protests are cool and all, but there needs to be a hell of a lot more people to move the needle.

And a protest in D.C. on June 14th needs to be so big that it completely ruins his entire day. That would be glorious!

I honestly don't know what people are waiting for.

Since trump ignores the courts and is engaged in election fraud, I seriously don't see how anything less than a people's revolution will topple this government.

They want to be in unison for planned events for impact.

Someone just contact your local organizations and setup more protests, events, congresspeople’s homes, scotus homes, etc.

That will just piss him off. Better to hit the oligarchs n corps that support him so they will withdraw support. Consider immediate nationwide economic protests: Peaceful parkins at your local Wmart/Wholefds during busiest hrs. Bring a friend, use bathroom, take up space but donot buy. Peaceful Rideins-during the week, disrupt biz by filling public transist seats at busiest times. Both events no signs or chants or identifying as protesters. Elderly & disabled & those unable to travel can do this. Hit their profits. parents keeping kids home from school is tool, too.

He's already pissed off. He doesn't know any other emotion other than anger so it doesn't matter. This should absolutely happen, en masse.

Economic protests harnassing our economic power removes dictators. A protest of Trump's birthday would not help anything. A whole lot of military folks playing sick would be great though.

History has shown us that dictators fall when economic protests , strikes, disrupting business as usual - sometimes via blocking public transportation have worked so the wealthy supporters lose profit. Then the wealthy decides it is not profitable to remain loyal to the dicyator - in this case Trump -and they pull the plug on. Republicans in Congress bank rolled by wealthy elites bail on Trump, too.

Unfortunately we can see the Heff Bezos and Mark Zuckerbergs of the world don't care about innocents tortured in concentration camps. They are greedy. We need to stop feeding them -Ditto Walmart -etc to rescue Democracy and prevent the evils of facism.

So the trouble is the media has been really thwarted so people have no idea what’s going on like most people reading Substack. So many are clueless. Find out if your community is getting news and if not tell them what’s going on . Send them to Substack. I was just at my hairdressers and no one even knew their social security and health care was under imminent threat

He’ll be golfing and won’t even know about it. We’ve got to make GOP senators feel the heat. I don’t even care what tactics we use, make them more scared of We the People than they are of trump. Terror. Guerilla warfare. Way past time to stop pussyfooting around. This is our country on the line.

I agree; we can’t afford to wait. But if we’re all still here then, ruining his birthday and parade by boycotting, protesting, a general strike and making as much noise as possible sounds like a really good idea.

Yes! Plan for massive protests that day, and also protest and disrupt all the ways we can from now till then and after. His birthday is a perfect opportunity.

General strike takes a bit of time to get enough people to pledge to commit. GeneralStrike.com is working on it. They will have security for miles around his birthday. And it won't have an economic result.

I like that idea of showing up at these places and not buying.

I’m wondering what the effect would be if there are no signs. I imagine that it would make the places more crowded but people would still come in and shop as they had planned to that day.

I have thought of wearing signs. Either like a sandwich board or a smaller protest sign with a string attached to be worn around my neck.

Thinking out loud here, so to speak. What about wearing signs with a message not specific to the store, one that a lot of people agree on?

Such as

Hands off my social security!

No one elected Elon

Protect our USPS

And fill the store and not buy anything!

Your thoughts?

Thank you all for this opportunity to brainstorm ideas! 💙

Sell tee shirts with slogans, can raise funds for Ukraine or more protests.

No. You can not sell anything on private property. You'd get booted which would be self defeating.

Very bad idea! This would defeat the objectives of intelligent indistinguishable protesters and identify you as a protester in a private business so you'd likely get thrown out- maybe be made an example of to scare repeat events. So, you would not be helping the objective - as you wouldnt hold space for long.

Ideas on how to hold space & pass time: Everyone grab some clothing, get in line for fitting room and make sure anyone that gets in takes their sweet time- wrap the lines to the heavens. For places with no fitting room: Everyone get in cash register line with a few items and after items are rung up say sorry I left my wallet in car. Same goal: Wrap those lines to the moon. People who wear fitness watches can get in their steps? Ask to look at games in electronic dept? Have any ideas? Simple browsing is risky as some may be tempted to buy something which would defeat purpose.Definately need to leave cards & $ locked in vehicle. People could arrange to use snapchat after event to compare notes?

My point is pissing him off accomplishes NOTHING. Protests must be ECONOMIC to rattle the brains of his wealthy & corporate supporters. Historically, removing a dictator is successful when the wealthy are losing profits and worried because business as usual is disrupted so they withdraw their support. Big protests on Trump's birthday dont hurt the oligarchs at all. Big protests that disrupt business during the week because silent signless protesters organized a.m. ride ins filling all subways and public transportation disrupts business $. Silent signless Parkin protests targeting your local Wmart & Wfoods nationwide (or better Worldwide) Saturday and prime shopping hours between 10-2 and 4-6 p.m. disrupt tbe profit of oligarchs. Park legally, bring a buddy, chat and shop, no signs or chants, dont buy a thing- restrooms on site- weather, age etc. does not impede participation. Creative, focused peaceful disruption of business as usual is much more effective than a protest on Trump's birthday.

We are not wealthy billionaires but we feed the wealthy billionaires and acting collectively in a focused manner, we have immense power to move greed motivated oligarchs off Trump. He wants a reason to declare marital law and get nasty. Silent invisible protests would be much harder to contain- they'd be localized anf protesters would not be easy to identify.

Don’t forget Amazon in all this. We need to stop the flow of goods everywhere so that Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg, and all the big box people are going to bat against Trump and this racist movement. We’ll all need to do with less and only buy essentials. No Starbucks, no eating out, no online purchases. Get what you need from small local stores to get by. It won’t take long for the billionaires to get the message.
