FEAR IS THE ORE OF COURAGE

The more pressure they put on Americans, the stronger we get.

Let’s sit with this fear. The fear we’re all feeling in 2025. It’s real. You can hear it in Sherri’s voice all the way from Illinois.

It’s barely September into his first year. Inflation. Tariffs. Medicare and Medicaid cuts. Alligator Alcatraz. Epstein. ICE raids. I feel like we’re in a video game. And now, to live under the shadow of military boots in our streets? That is terrifying. To imagine our kids, our families, our communities walking past armed soldiers on the way to school? The grocery store? WTF. Armed for what? Not defense. They’re armed for control. They’re armed to strike fear into the hearts and minds of Americans. If you’re feeling that fear, it means you still know the difference between democracy and dictatorship. That fear is proof your soul hasn’t been corrupted.

This is psychological warfare of Americans on a massive scale.

Fear is the point. Fear is the weapon.

Fear is the Original Sin of the Oligarchy. The beginning of the end. The weight of fear that soulless billionaires have strapped onto generations of good, honest, hardworking people is unbearable now. We can no longer carry their addiction to greed, desire, and domination on our backs. They KNOW they have exploited every last human and resource on Earth and they are praying they can keep us too scared to ever do anything about it.

Every authoritarian gospel is rooted in a blatant disregard for humanity. A complete indifference to our lives. We are treated like special pets, allowed to entertain them until the second we get too loud, too smart, too organized. Then they invent an enemy for us to hate, to fear, to categorize as Less Than. They watch us kill each other over their breakfast of hookers and blow, lick our blood from their fingers while they buy the dips and then gaslight us into believing empathy is an exploit. An error.

Excuse me?

Pain is the point. Pain is the weapon.

They like it when we are struggling. They like it when you cannot afford daycare, or college. Medical care, food, or housing. And now these ghouls are sending OUR National Guard into OUR cities to scare US into silence. To keep US down.

Do they even know any Americans? Do they understand what they’ve done by pushing us this far? By making life this hard ?

THE FINAL FIG LEAF

Strip away fear and nothing remains but naked power, desperate and obscene. Fascists, billionaires, authoritarians, dictators and oligarchs can wrap themselves in uniforms, in laws, in flags, but it all unravels when we recognize fear for what it is. It is the last flimsy cover of a system built on greed. They are not strong. They are terrified of us. That is why they hide behind soldiers in our streets, why they manufacture enemies, why they pit us against each other. Fear is the only gospel they know.

Fear is the ore of courage. it doesn’t transform on its own. You have to work it. You have to refine it. You have to take that deep pit in your stomach, that rising, unsettled energy inside of you and push it through the forge until it burns as anger. And not reckless anger. Not violence. That is what they want. They want chaos in the streets so they can point to us and say, “See? We were right to send in soldiers.” They want carnage. They need it.

The way we win is by turning fear into righteous anger that organizes. We have to do this scared. The antidote is community. We have got to flex that muscle again. We have got to show up and show out for each other.

That means plastering your social media with pro-democratic content. Memes. Stories. Videos. Articles. It means showing up at town halls and rallies. It means writing, speaking, singing, creating art that screams we are here.
It means standing shoulder-to-shoulder with your neighbors so nobody feels alone in this.

Anger does not have to smash windows.
Anger can flood streets with bodies so thick they cannot be ignored.
Anger can bring the city to a halt without a single punch thrown.

The revolution will not be televised.

The revelation is that we do not need to wait until we are unafraid to act. We will never be unafraid. We will do this scared. We will march scared. We will vote scared. We will love, build, and fight scared. Fear is no longer their weapon. It has become ours. Hammered into strength by our refusal to disappear.

We need to remind these absolute cancers on society that we are not going to sit here while they bankrupt our country so a couple billionaire buddies can have an easier ride.

I know there’s a lot of fear. But you’re not alone. We’re going to do this scared. And we’re going to do this together.

The revolution will not be televised. It will be lived. It will be marched. It will be shouted from throats that are dry and shaking. It will be bodies in the street that tremble but do not retreat.

We have to do this scared.
