But, this was their plan. Ask Peter Thiel. What is their incentive to set us free?

Hmmmmm . . . I agree with the things you said about manipulating the reader/viewer and have tried to be aware of all that. It happens too frequently and from all sides, even unintentionally via our friends passing things (posts, etc.) along.

When one gets right down to it even your tagline at the end . . .

"Be sure to like and restack this post so that more people see it!"

Can be characterized as a kind of manipulation. πŸ™ƒ

I wrote a book recently on this subject. About how we are conditioned by our culture in a way that primes us for manipulative marketing tactics. I explore how this happens subconsciously so it simply becomes part of who we are that we don't often reflect on, much less examine. Yet we wonder we why keep cycling through the same patterns in our lives. Its called Energy For Sale (by Rev DeBorah) bit.ly/EnergyForSale

It’s wild that something that exists in a virtual world has such a powerful hold on our minds. Having the will power to put our phones down and be present in our real lives is a skill too many of us lack now. These phones and platforms are very addictive. I’m on here in hopes I can bring people to a cozy, safe, loving space in the internet. Do those exist? πŸ₯°

It’s amazing to me that the manipulation of peoples attention by in this case AI used by β€˜ large corporations β€˜ comes as a surprise.

It’s always been that way .

These are For Profit entities.

What’s changed to the detriment of one and all is the success for profit entities have had in deflecting the blame onto government while simultaneously manipulating said same governments to do there bidding . Governments come and go but corporations, national and international go on and on and on perfecting their hydra headed propaganda departments ( add departments ) ability to control the narrative which includes deflecting people’s ability to pin down the sources from which decisions come from.

Another irony in this black hole moment is the simplicity of creating the changes normal people want . The simplest way to change the situation in my opinion is to simply quit feeding the beasts or quit buying the products and services that are the lifeblood of those same corporations.

I do not agree with Jake Auchincloss. The center is gone. There is no center. MAGA blew up the center. What Democrats must do to win is to speak loudly to everyday people's struggle to survive, a struggle that has gotten more and more difficult. Until Dems reject the corporatocracy and start promoting a vision of an economic democracy, we are doomed. Check out what Corbin Trent hast to say on this topic. Look at Zohran Mandami's campaign to see what electrifies working class folks. We must have deep, systemic change and we need to be able to talk about it in a way that invites broad groups of folks to sign on
